The challenge

What was going wrong

The manufacturer had grown through several product ranges, each with its own box style and label. On a shelf or in a warehouse, the products did not look like they came from one company, and similar items were easy to mix up.

Packaging has practical limits. Labels need safety text, barcodes and handling marks, and printers have color and material restrictions. The new look had to work in real print runs, not just on a screen.

Our approach

How we worked it out

  1. 1

    Review the range

We collected every box, label and carton, then talked with sales and warehouse staff about what confused customers and slowed picking.

  2. 2

    Shape the identity

We developed a refreshed logo, color and type system that worked on dark cartons, small labels and large shipping boxes alike.

  3. 3

    Design and prove the packaging

We designed a flexible layout for all ranges, checked it with the printer on real material, and corrected colors before the full production run.

  4. 4

    Document and hand over

We delivered print-ready files and a brand guide, so internal staff and suppliers could extend the system to new products without our help.

What we built

The solution

  • Refreshed brand identity

A logo, color palette and typography that hold up in print.

  • Packaging layout system

One flexible template for boxes, cartons and labels across all ranges.

  • Clear label hierarchy

Product name, variant, safety text and barcode placed in a fixed order.

  • Brand guidelines

Simple rules and print-ready files for staff and suppliers.

What changed

The results

  • A recognizable family of products

Every range now reads as one brand on shelves, in catalogues and in the warehouse.

  • Fewer picking mix-ups

A consistent label order helped warehouse staff find the right variant faster.

  • Easy to extend

New products follow the template, so launches no longer need a fresh packaging project.

Technology

What it was built with

  • Adobe Illustrator Vector artwork that stays sharp at any size.
  • Adobe Photoshop Retouching and image compositing for polished visuals.
  • Figma Design tool for dashboard wireframes and layouts approved before build.
  • Google Fonts Free web fonts for consistent typography.
